ALLA KOROT
"Stacey Sloan"

Alla Korot stars as Stacey Sloan, an expecting mom who also happens to be HIV positive, on SOAPnet’s first serialized drama for primetime “General Hospital: Night Shift” which premiered July 12 and will air Thursdays at 11PM (ET/PT). The 13-episode series goes beyond what is seen in daytime to reveal the lives and loves of “General Hospital’s” favorite characters during the hospital’s night shift.

Stacey immediately develops a friendship with Dr. Robin Scorpio who’s also infected with HIV. While Robin helps Stacey get through her fears of having a baby, Stacey shows Robin that her HIV status won’t stand in the way of starting a family on “General Hospital: Night Shift.”

Alla Korot immigrated to the United States with her parents when she was six years old and settled in San Francisco. She spent six years touring professionally with Ballet Celeste International, and was crowned Miss Teen California at 17.

Korot was the model for Esmerelda in Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and has had many guest spots on television shows including appearances in “Shark,” “24,” “CSI: NY,” “Alias,” “Nip/Tick,” “Charmed,” “The District,” and “ER” among others. No stranger to daytime, Korot also starred as Jenna Norris on “Another World” and Dr. Alley Doyle on “All My Children.”

Korot can currently be seen as a Russian Translator in the 2007 feature film “Fracture” with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling as well as in the starring role as the eccentric nanny Sophia Petrenko in the indie feature “Domestic Import” a feel good comedy about a Russian nanny who invades the life of an American couple. Both roles are a perfect fit for Korot who hails from Odessa and is fluent in Russian.
